It is an established fact that corporate social responsibility is a business lever for the fundamental contribution that companies make to sustainable development. The copper, brass, bronze and special alloys sector, which is at the basis of many traditional and innovative supply chains, is no exception. For this reason, EGM has chosen to analyse its performance with EcoVadis, the international platform that monitors companies’ sustainability performance, helping them to improve their environmental and social practices by exploiting the influence of global logistics chains. This undertaking awarded EGM the silver recognition level, thus receiving confirmation of the results obtained but, above all, acquiring important indications on the areas in which to take action in order to aim at a continuous improvement and an even more ambitious result.
